 …escapades, wanderlust, introspection… joie de vivre…

I want to feel life again;
       though I never felt it before as much I am doing it now!
Emancipated, unrestrained, unleashed,
       in the company of superfluous liberty:
I  want to run atop a hill, waddling through the breeze,
       touch the unfathomable sea-bed:
And meet the corals, the sea anemones,
       who engulfs and subjugates all clamour;
Where only beautiful things subsists!
       I want to be an eagle flying against the gravity,
Then to fall acutely, to discover:
       the immensity of mere seconds on soil.

I want to live these escapades…
       that  defy everything but joy….

I want to wandr around the world,
       Know different cultures, know different languages;
Taste  their food, perceive their rationalisms:
       To discern how differently people think similar,
Realize that  there is no right way, no wrong way!
Dancing with the aborigines,
While giving and gathering pleasant memories;
I wish to know their spirits!
I want to live these escapades…
       that  defy everything but joy….

I need to read all the pages of world,
       Only then will i understand the road chosen by me!
Universe is so relative; to understand one part
       It becomes necessary to comprehend  the counterpart.
To know ownself, I will have to recognize my dreams,
To appeciate my dreams , I will have to understand:
I am mere one element of  this macrocosm!
Hence in putsuit  to realize my existence,
I will have to realize the essence of universe;
For my introspection can then only be complete!

Now I know how to reach  these escapades…
       I will be a nomad, I will be a hippie;
Smoking marijuana of freedom.

I am an escapade: embracing all,
Indulging in all possible substances of  the world!

I live these escapades…
that  defy everything but joy….

PS: Nandy this is for the opening ceremony of our anticipated India trip ;-)

Paraphrase:
The poem is about the voracity of living life incessantly and in its entirety.
Here the idea of living life to the fullest is related to adventures and wanderlust leading to self-introspection, thereby leading to an existence which is a combination of joy and enlightment. The thought behind is that to know ones own self, one needs to know what is its counterpart, i. e., the world. Everything in this universe is relative that nothing can be defined in absolute terms. This interdependence is the thing which one needs to recognize in order realize ones own existence.
During the stint of any escapade a person gets closer to oneself. This effect is the consequence of the agitation, thrill and amusement that any escapade involves. They just make you forget everything except yourself, that now you are amidst something which never tries to change you, conquer you, subdue you. But at the same time you have to beat the anxities it gives and you are given a challenge to come out of it as a winner. In such a time you are so close to yourself that you acctually feel your reflexes; making you feel alive. After you come out invincible, rumination about the whole event takes you closer to yourself.
St. Augustine rightly quoted: “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.”  The quality of self-introspecting distinguishes humans from animals. The better  you know your own self, the more you are clear about your goals in life. And to know oneself completely one needs to know about the things around him. This is because everything in the universe is relative, such that existence of any particle is defined relative to the other, which implies the absence of ablsoluteness. The more you are clear about yourself, the more you are free and hence the more you enjoy life...
